The successful makeover of a holiday home near Girona, Spain

The owners wanted to keep as much of the original 14th century elements of their “Masia” intact, while integrating modern comforts. The result shows rough-hewn, natural rock walls contrasting with smoothly polished-cement finishes. Built-in seating areas, refurbished favorite old pieces of furniture and neutral colours make for a cozy living environment.
